Rhythm Breath

by

Sol Sonic

A guided breathwork experience designed to shift your state through breath, movement, music, and stillness.

Your breath is one of the few tools you carry everywhere.

Change the way you breathe, and you can begin changing the state from which you’re experiencing the moment. Sometimes we use breath to settle. Sometimes we use it to activate. Sometimes we simply learn to notice what our breathing is already telling us.

That’s part of the practice: paying close enough attention to notice the moment something changes. Your breathing. Your body. Your state. And discovering that you may have more influence over what happens next than you realized.

01/ MOVEMENT. BREATH. SOUND. STILLNESS. INTEGRATION.

Rhythm Breath is a guided experience that moves between activation and recovery.

We use movement, intentional breathing patterns, breath holds, immersive music, meditation, and stillness to work with the body in real time.

Some practices build energy. Others help the system soften. The experience moves between the two, creating space not only to think differently, but to experience yourself differently.

02/ WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO FEEL?

There isn’t a right or wrong way to experience breathwork.

You might feel energized. Calm. Emotional. Tingly. Clear. Restless. Deeply relaxed. You might have a significant insight. You might simply notice your mind finally got quiet for a few minutes.

You do not need to have a breakthrough for breathwork to be working. Sometimes the most important thing that happens in breathwork is something you notice three days later.

Part of the practice is learning to notice what is happening rather than chasing what you think is supposed to happen.

03/ YOUR BODY. YOUR BREATH. YOUR CHOICE.

Breathwork isn’t about forcing yourself through an experience.

Everything I offer is invitational. You can slow your breathing, return to your natural breath, modify a practice, or stop at any time. Different bodies and nervous systems have different capacities on different days, and the practice should respect that.

My approach emphasizes choice, consent, nervous-system awareness, and appropriate modification. You are never required to push through discomfort or intensity to have a meaningful experience.

04/ WHY BREATH?

We take our first breath and begin a lifelong act of reciprocity with the world.

Every moment after that, breath responds to what is happening around us and within us. It changes when we’re frightened, excited, focused, relaxed, overwhelmed, or at ease, often before we consciously recognize what has shifted.

And because breathing happens automatically and can be consciously influenced, it gives us an unusual point of access to our physiology. We can notice it. We can work with it. And over time, we can become more familiar with the language our bodies have been speaking all along.

05/ BREATHWORK BEYOND THE MAT

Breathwork isn’t only what happens on the mat.

The dramatic moments get a lot of attention. I’m equally interested in what happens Tuesday afternoon when you’re stressed, holding your breath, your shoulders are somewhere near your ears, and you notice what your body is doing.

THAT’S WHERE

BREATH

BECOMES A

PRACTICE.

Breath is free. It’s always available. And it’s a remarkably nonjudgmental teacher. The more familiar you become with your own breathing patterns, the more information you have about what your body is doing and what it may need.

For me, Breathwork became the doorway in.

I’m less interested in pushing you toward a particular experience than creating the conditions for you to become curious about what your own body has to say.

For years, I understood many of my patterns intellectually while my body continued responding in ways I couldn’t simply think my way out of. Breath gave me another way in.

That experience eventually became part of the foundation for Sol Sonic and the way I facilitate today: grounded in curiosity, nervous-system awareness, participant choice, and deep respect for the intelligence of the body.

I’m a certified Elemental Rhythm Breathwork Facilitator, Raja-Hatha Yoga teacher, Reiki Master, and trained Embodied Evolution coach. My work also draws from decades as an artist, musician, and photographer, along with ongoing study of breath, sound, embodiment, and the nervous system.
